PAINTING OUR STORY
This year’s Annual Appeal at Providence Cristo Rey High School centers around a stunning new mural painted by our own alumna, Cassie Mitchell. This artwork serves as a vibrant tribute to the experiences that define our school, featuring eight key aspects of the PCRHS journey: Transportation, Athletics, Extracurriculars, College Prep Academics, Service, Corporate Work Study, Graduation and Future Path, and Spirituality/Faith. Over the coming weeks, we’ll take a deeper look into each section of the mural, sharing inspiring stories from our current students and accomplished alumni, showcasing how these facets have impacted their educational paths and future success. We invite you to join us in celebrating the transformative power of the Providence Cristo Rey experience.
THE STORY
PCRHS alumna, Cassie Mitchell, PCR Class of 2022, was tasked with designing and painting a 360+ square foot mural in our athletic atrium. Cassie is currently studying graphic design at Marion University and was a founding member of PCR‘s art club. The mural showcases the spirit, mission, and identity of Providence Cristo Rey High School. This was an extraordinary undertaking and took hundreds of hours to design, draw, and paint. A huge thank you to Cassie and to everyone else who helped to make this project possible. While this image symbolizes 17 years of Providence Cristo Rey, we know it will continue to represent us and our school for decades to come.
