Teach us to show love to one another and continue to grow in our relationships. May we love You as we love each other and care for each other just as you care for us. Guide us on Your path of love and move us always to show love to our community.
Grant us your mercy, Lord, for we are all humans and make mistakes in life. Give us the strength to express sympathy to our peers and teachers. Allow us to embrace each other with gentleness and kindness.
Lead us away from all evil by teaching us to lean on your justice and follow your path. May we respect each other in every aspect of life. Help us hold each other accountable and strive to create a world that is right and just.
May we humbly live out these values of love, mercy, and justice as we do that You, Lord, require of us. Amen.
What do Love, Mercy, and Justice mean?
LOVE
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
In all that we do, we seek to have an attitude of love toward all those whom we encounter. All members of our community are committed to spreading God’s love to everyone around us.
MERCY
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Ephesians 4:2
In the same way that God shows us mercy, we are intentional about showing mercy to those around us as well. We actively choose forgiveness and prioritize relationships with others over everything else.
JUSTICE
Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly.
Leviticus 19:15
In our interactions with one another, we strive to create a just environment for all, holding each other accountable and respecting all members of our community.
