We Know You Have Some Questions

When do I go to work?

All Providence Cristo Rey High School students go to work one day a week during the school year.

Seniors work on Mondays, Juniors work on Tuesdays, Sophomores work on Wednesdays, and Freshmen work on Thursdays. Students spend the day at their work site. Exact arrival and departure times depend on the location of their work site.

How will I get to work?

We provide bus transportation to and from your work site.

What kind of job will I have?

We partner with more than 100+ different companies that are in a wide range of fields. We have students who work at hospitals, law firms, universities, tech companies, engineering companies, realty firms, accounting firms, nonprofits, pharmaceutical companies, investment firms, and more.

How do I get placed at a job?

After completing C.O.R.E. (Corporate Office Readiness & Enrichment) Training, students showcase everything they've learned at our Corporate Work Study Job Fair. Following evaluations of their workplace skills, professionalism, leadership, and attitude, students interview with Corporate Partners from across Indianapolis. Job placements are made based on each student's performance, interview, and the needs of our partner companies, ensuring a great fit for both the student and the employer.

What kind of work will I do?

All Corporate Work Study jobs are professional, entry-level jobs. Some common first-year duties are answering phones, greeting visitors, filing, scanning, data entry, and assisting with events. Every job will help you with your communication, networking, organizational, and time management skills.

Some of our upperclassmen take on meaningful projects at their Corporate Work Study sites, whether they're supporting environmental initiatives at August Mack Environmental or helping improve patient care and hospital operations at Eskenazi Health. No matter where they work, students make real contributions while gaining valuable professional experience.

Do I get paid?

The money that you earn from your normal hours at your Corporate Work Study site goes towards your school tuition. This is how we keep costs very low for your family. Some companies invite their students to work during school breaks. When you work during school breaks and do not need to make up a missed work day, the money you earn goes directly to you!

We handle the commute.

We coordinate the schedule.

We support the Partnership.
